Steanbow is a farm first and foremost but it’s always good to add another angle to the business. We have several commercial and agricultural lets including an automotive workshop and MOT centre, car strorage and logging business to name a few. Somerset Shooting Ground also call Steanbow home for several months of the year and welcome professional clay pigeon shooters (even Olympians!) to train and compete.

TV and Film Crews

We have a very large hard-standing area just off the A361 (10-15 minute drive to either Glastonbury, Wells or Shepton Mallet) which is often leased for periods of time to be used as a base for TV and film crews who are filming nearby. Glastonbury Festival

Our most obvious diversification is also known as the ‘biggest and best festival on the planet’; Glastonbury Festival. The neighbouring farm to us is Worthy Farm, owned by the Eavis family who plan and put on the festival each year. They rent 500 acres from us which enables them to welcome the thousands of festival goers to the green fields of Somerset. This has also impacted how we farm; ie. crop management and the decision to be a fully housed dairy.
